A common form of a lower back pain is called Sciatica.  The longest peripheral never in our body is the Sciatic nerve.  It runs from lower back through th buttock area and the pelvis, right down to lower leg’s back.  Since it originated in the spinal cord, the spinal cord’s health and its vertebra plays a big role in the functioning of the sciatic nerve.

There are many natural remedies for Sciatica and ice is one.  It reduces the inflammation around the nerve and it stops sciatica before it even starts.  Put the ice around the area for about 10 minutes and take rests.  Although not a permanent cure, ice can help immediately reduce the pain.

Another way to relax the muscles and to reduce the strain and easing the pain is by stretching the piriformis muscle.  One should loosen his hip and pelvic muscle.  Don’t lie down when one experiences sciatica for it will just tighten the muscles.

Another trusted effective remedy for this back pain is by treating the area with a fresh minced horseradish poultice.  When this is applied to the area where there is pain experienced and kept there for an hour, it stimulates the sciatica nerve and give a tremendous relief from the sciatica pain.
